Stores Person / Warehouse Worker

ALG has a great opportunity for a skilled Warehouse Officer/Stores person to join a reputable organisation located in Canberra Airport. This position offers valuable exposure to the aviation industry, as well as a wide range of future career prospects.
This is a 6 to 12-month casual contract offering full-time hours at a rate of $33 per hour, plus super. This opportunity also has the potential for extension beyond the initial contract period for the right candidate.
Some of the main responsibilities of the position are:
Maintaining company premises and equipment.Performing cleaning duties to ensure safety and suitability for use.Tool handling and management.Manual handling (picking and packing) / Stocktake.Executing related tasks in airport ground operations and taking instructions from Aircraft maintenance engineers.The successful candidates possess the following attributes:
Warehouse/logistic experience highly desirable.Flexible to work in a 4 on, 4 off roster - 2 days, 2 nights.Full working rights in Australia.Willing to obtain ASIC (a form of airport identification that allows you to work inside the Airport).Willing to comply with medical requirements (drug/alcohol and physical test) at own cost.Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and good communication skills.Demonstrate full compliance with all work rules and regulations.Eligible candidates with the above qualities are encouraged to apply now!
