Join Our Team as a Store Person at our Spotswood Facility UGL is seeking a dedicated and skilled Store Person to join our team at the locomotive maintenance facility in Spotswood, Victoria.
This permanent, full-time role offers a chance to work within a dynamic warehouse team supporting the maintenance of rolling stock, wagons, and locomotives.
The team works 7.6 hours a day; however, the warehouse operates from 7am to 5pm, and we rotate between our team members on a weekly basis within this bracket to cover the 10-hour period.
This means each week your start and finish time will change.
Interviews will be held mid-January 2025 About the role Reporting to the Store Supervisors, this role will see you work in a dynamic team environment, contributing to:
Receive and quality-check incoming products from vendors.Safely and efficiently store parts across warehouse and outdoor storage areas.Unload and load trucks, ensuring accuracy and safety.Perform pick-and-pack duties and manage stocktaking/cycle counts.Process inventory using UGL's SAP management system.Maintain compliance with all record-keeping and operational standards.About You We're looking for someone who is dedicated and brings passion to their work:
Current LF Forklift license with practical experience operating counterbalance and high-reach forklifts in warehouse/yard environments.Experience in loading/unloading trucks of various configurations.Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and email systems.Experience with SAP inventory systems (preferred).Prior experience in safety-critical industries such as rail, automotive, military, defense, or avionics (highly desirable).Why Choose UGL?
