Join our State Government client as a Store Officer! We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to manage the day-to-day operations and security of a Regional Inventory Store (Karratha). In this role, you'll also supervise sub-stores across the region and deliver top-notch E-Procurement services. Looking for someone to fill this spot quickly, f you have what it takes to jump in to this role and hit the ground running, we want to hear from you!Preferred Start Date: ASAPEnd Date: 04-Oct-2024Hours per week: 38Location: KarrathaHourly rate: $57.00/hour + superTasks include:Occupational Safety & HealthAcknowledge and adhere to corporate occupational health and safety policies and procedures in order to ensure personal and group safety.Proactively identify, correct and report hazards in accordance with Corporate procedures.Actively participate in safe job planning, team meetings and workplace inspections.Adhere to Dangerous Goods Standards for the storage and issue of dangerous goods required by legislation and/or Water Corporation policies.Process ManagementAdhere to Procurement & Property Branch Policy, Standards and Guidelines regarding Materials Management and the use of e-Procurement.Effectively communicate with other stakeholders regarding the movement and/or availability of stock.Operation of Regional and Sub –Store(s), Regional Inventory StoreProcess relevant paper/computer documentation in a timely manner (as specified in Material Management Standards.Load/unload stock and non-stock items.Receive goods and check against order or manifest.Ensure stock on shelves is rotated (FI-FO) and shelf life observed.Ensure MSDS's are delivered with goods, available and distributed as required. Create Stock Requisitions as required.Conduct periodical minimum of 3 stock takes per annum & identify and reconcile discrepancies.Assist Independent Inventory Auditors as required.Maintain housekeeping of Store and associated compound.Manage small plant and specialist safety equipment assignment, including ensuring appropriate fuel supply, as requiredLiaise with other Stores personnel to arrange inter-store transfers as required.Monitor stock levels and recommend changes to improve operations performance.Participate in improvements to related work practices and procedures.Communicate new Material Master Records which become available via upgrades to the Corporation's Materials Catalogue and arrange extensions to Storage Locations (SLOC's) as required by managers and supervisors.Build stores management capability of others as required.Notify personnel of special request goods received in Store.Identify surplus/scrap items for disposal & recommend to Operations Manager.Recover surplus direct charge MMR items from within the Region and arrange Stores Credit Notes (SCN's) as per agreed procedures.Prepare vehicle stock replenishment packs for collection by operators. Sub Stores (includes vehicles)Monitor the operation of Sub-stores and identify & recommend improvements to work practices and processes.Provide functional supervision and advice to Operations Assistants/District Stores Operators regarding stores management and procurement policy, standards and guidelines.Receive and process Goods Issue Dockets from Sub Stores.Purchase non-stock items for Sub Stores as required.Monitor sub-store and mobile store (vehicles) stock and re-order levels and adjust as required.Organise TransportationArrange delivery of stock items to other locations using preferred supplier.Complete relevant paperwork for transportation of Dangerous Goods.E-Procurement ServicesObtain quotations/pricing of non-stock items as required.Raise shopping carts for non-stock items and services and confirm invoices for payment.Purchase goods/materials utilising e-Procurement in accordance with Guidelines for Procurement.Act as the primary district liaison for Procurement & Property Branch related to purchasing and stores matters.Liaise with Team Leader/Schedulers & field crews to deliver required stock and non-stock items in a timely manner.Attend Commitment Meeting and receive assignment of goods from planning meetings.Develop good networks with Procurement & Property Branch and other Storepersons.Attend daily review meetings with Operations Manager & Team Leaders.Highlight abnormal use of stores issues to relevant CABS & Operations Managers.Ethics and ComplianceComply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy and ethical standards.To carry out the responsibilities of the position in accordance with the Water Corporation's Code of Conduct, Equity and Diversity Policy, Occupational Safety and Health policies and procedures, and to behave and interact with colleagues in accordance with the Corporation's relevant standards, values and policies.Comply with the accountability requirements as set out in the Water Corporation Accountabilities Framework.Perform the duties associated with your position, as well as other duties reasonably requested by the corporation,SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:Qualifications and ExperienceConsiderable experience in Stores or Warehouse operationsRelevant experience in chemical handlingRelevant experience in providing administration, business or customer service support.Relevant experience in the use of inventory management systems and PC based information systems (e.g. – SAP MM, SAP PM, e-Procurement and Microsoft Office).High Risk Licence – Forklift TruckC Class (Manual) LicenceConstruction Card (blue or white card)Job Specific skillsAnalytical and numeracy skills.Able to positively participate as a member of a team.Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Personal AttributesDemonstrates the values and behaviors that contribute to a constructive, high-performance culture.DesirableCert IV in Warehousing Distribution (TAFE) or similarFirst AidDangerous Goods Operators CertificateCertificate II in Transport & Distribution of Dangerous GoodsRelevant experience in a water utilityManual handling skillsIf you'd like to be considered for this role, pleasesubmit your CV now!Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
