Expressions of interest are sought to cover temporary vacancies for the position of Store Person (Pharmacy) at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The position will be CASUAL ON CALL as required and dates will vary depending on operational need. We cannot guarantee a minimum number of shifts, as this is an on-call position. As the Storeperson (Pharmacy), you will receive, receipt, store, distribute, and assist in the management of pharmaceutical stores for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Effective storage and distribution servicesTimely and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical stores to wards/clinics and patientsAssisting in stocktaking, stock rotation, expiry date validation, and cold chain storage monitoringPreparing pharmaceutical orders and distributing pharmaceutical inventory throughout the Hospital and Health Service (HHS), including picking from computer-generated picking slips, robot exception reports, and appropriate packing of orders for couriers or internal delivery using designated equipmentUndertaking receipting, checking, and storage of orders, transporting deliveries from the dock using supplied equipment, unpacking and validating orders as they arrive from suppliers, replenishing and putting away stock received, and loading the dispensary robotsRequirements for the role It is a condition of employment in this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine-preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough), and hepatitis BWhile not mandatory, a qualification in warehouse and inventory management will be well regardedIf deemed suitable, your details will remain in the Storeperson (Pharmacy) talent pool and you may be contacted further by GCHHS if an opportunity arises matching your skills and experience.
