Located at our Brisbane Base Maintenace Hangar, this role is designed to support in the implementation and maintenance of world's best practice for warehousing, distribution and logistics.
The core responsibilities of this role are; Timely processing of all warehouse requirements in appropriate nominated timeframe Frequent monitoring of operational requirements in different parts of the warehouse with ability to reprioritise on demand in order to meet customer requirements Accurate review and action of all facets of warehousing including Receipts, Binning, Issuing, & Despatch Control of Qantas and client stock Input into continuous improvement processes to ensure Distribution and Logistics continually improves in its productivity, efficiency and overall viability Fostering a culture of cooperation across other elements of the logistics organisation To be successful in this role you will have: Be a highly self-motivated self-starter with demonstrated initiative and good organisational skills Work well is a dynamic environment with the ability to quickly accommodate change and continuous improvement to meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders Have the ability to build effective relationships and to manage and encourage a collaborative team environment Have the ability to work without direct supervision Ability to prioritise work and perform multiple tasks under time constraints & be able to meet strict deadlines Sound data entry skills and high attention to detail Minimum two years experience in a warehousing environment performing receipting, binning and despatch transactions Good understanding of logistics planning and inventory control Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Manhattan Software (Desirable) Current Manual Motor Vehicle Licence (Essential) A Forklift Licence (Essential) Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Flexibility to work on a day or night shift roster if required Qantas is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
