Peak Downs Mine is based 6kms south of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.
ABOUT THE ROLEOur busy Maintenance department at Peak Downs is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Store Person.
As our next Store Person reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of parts, tools, and materials used in mining operations.Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and stock movements.Ensure that all materials are properly stored, labelled, and accessible for easy retrieval.Assist in managing stock levels and ordering of supplies as required.Perform regular stocktakes and reconcile discrepancies in inventory.Support maintenance teams by ensuring the availability of necessary parts and tools.Monitor and ensure compliance with safety protocols and workplace procedures.Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely supply of materials to operational teams.Liaise with suppliers and vendors to manage ordering and returns of goods.Provide assistance with the management of hazardous materials and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience as a Store Person or in a similar role within the mining or industrial sector.Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.Familiarity with mining equipment and materials.Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (Forklift license required).Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Knowledge of safety procedures in a mining or industrial environment.Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.Standard 11.BENEFITSFlights from Brisbane*BIBO options available from MackayPeak Downs Camp based at Civeo camp in Dysart, 25 minutes on bus to site.Even time roster of 7/7 and 12.5hr days/nights on offer to provide a balanced lifestyle.A range of corporate discounts including health insurance, travel and retail products.Opportunities to advance your career.ABOUT USThiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.
