A vacancy has arisen for the role of Major Account Manager/Store Manager at our Shepparton store in Victoria.About the RoleWe require a bright, ambitious sales professional who preferably has experience working within the paint industry. This position would be ideal for someone who possesses both strong account management and operational skills. The role is based in our Shepparton store in Victoria and will suit someone seeking a long-term career in a stable and progressive company.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe store manager is responsible for the full operational running of a Trade, Retail, Industrial, Protective & Marine Coatings paint store. The successful applicant will be flexible, self-motivated, and have high ideals of customer service. They must possess a strong technical knowledge of architectural, industrial & protective paint systems and want to join a happy, progressive, and successful team. Additionally, the successful applicant will be comfortable with cold calling to prospect new business and keeping engaged in the local building & construction industry through following projects. They should not be adverse to lifting the company's profile by engaging with community-centric organizations. Responsibilities also include monitoring and communicating local competitor activity to Crowies Paints management, collaborating with strategic supply partners to ensure alignment on new business targets, and managing, coaching, and developing other staff to ensure performance aligns with key company objectives and standard operating procedures.Skills & ExperienceA proven history of achieving sales growth while controlling operational expenses will be highly regarded. This is a demanding role and we are seeking a high-caliber applicant. Paint industry experience is preferred but not essential. Applicants with Trade/Retail/Hardware industry experience or related building industry experience will be highly considered.
