Storage Engineer

SIG is looking for a Storage Engineer to join Windows Virtual and Storage Team in our stunning top floor office in Sydney, Barangaroo.
As a part of expanding the Windows team, the successful candidate will contribute to delivering technology solutions to our Production Enterprise Storage Infrastructure, specifically being tasked with the deployment and management of our Storage, Backup and Data Governance environment.
In this role, you will provide support for our existing modern technology stack as well as work on cutting edge projects designing and deploying our expanding enterprise storage environment across APAC.
You will work with storage solutions across a multi-vendor environment running technologies from Pure Storage, VAST, NetApp and CommVault.
Additionally, you will keep abreast of emerging trends and work with multi-disciplinary teams across the globe with experts from US, Europe and APAC to ensure SIG's storage environment meets both current and future business needs.Manage and support SIG's enterprise storage and backup infrastructure including tape libraries, disk libraries and backup softwarePerform resolution and root cause analysis of storage-related issues in collaboration with other teamsAct as a go-to person for storage questions, create and maintain knowledge base, work and share knowledge with other teams.Design, deploy and perform capacity management of NAS and SAN devices in SIG's enterprise environmentAutomate daily tasks and operations across multiple storage platforms using our modern CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy or Ansible as requiredGo hands-on with all the fantastic tech we have by visiting and performing occasional physical work in the datacentersMonitor and perform proactive diagnosis of systems health and performance using the right tool from our broad monitoring stackThrough analysis of resource allocations, provide proactive reporting of Storage and Backup resource utilization and recommend changes to ensure business continuity.Be expected to occasionally complete required changes during non-business hours with generous time-in-lieu arrangementWhat you can expect from us:Real Impact:
