We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Stocktake Assistant.
This role provides support across all Woolworths & Endeavour business units around the Adelaide Metro area.
This exciting role involves visiting various Woolworths, Woolworths Metro, Big W, Dan Murphys & BWS sites.
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct stock counts at each location.
This process entails physically counting each item and subsequently entering the data into a handheld scanning device.
This casual role typically involves work commencing at 6:00 AM from Monday to Thursday with occasional Fridays, with approximately 20 hours per week.
The team works approximately 35 weeks per year, with no stocktakes in the lead-up to Christmas and the week either side of Easter.
During these periods, there may be opportunities to source work within supermarkets.
The role offers an attractive remuneration package that includes a highly competitive rate of pay, kilometre and travel time allowances, superannuation, and a staff discount card.
Our dedicated team of trainers provides comprehensive on-the-job training to successful candidates.
As part of the Stocktake Assistants role, you will have the opportunity to travel throughout the South Australian region visiting our regional centres.
This will involve being away from home for approximately 4 nights per month.
During this time, you will enjoy comfortable twin share accommodation with breakfasts and dinners supplied, as well as coach-driven transport.
Please note that you must also possess a vehicle and current licence to transport yourself within the greater Adelaide Region area, which ranges anywhere from Gawler to Seaford.
Key responsibilities include: Accurate counting of stock in accordance with company specified guidelines, time frames and targets. Working cooperatively in an engaging and productive team environment. Abiding by company policies and procedures in relation to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and Food Safety to ensure a safe working environment for customers, team members and contractors. To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria: Demonstrate competent written and verbal communication skills with a sound mathematical ability. Hold a current driver's licence and have access to your own vehicle. Maintain a reliable attendance record and strong work ethic. Perform repetitive tasks. Portray a positive attitude. Abide by company policies and procedures at all times including the standard of dress. Be available to work a flexible casual schedule from Monday to Friday (the majority of shifts would be from 6am starts; however, some evenings and late nights may be required). Be able to periodically travel on trips away for up to four nights, staying in twin share accommodation at the expense of Woolworths. Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
