TrophyStore.co.uk Ltd , the UK's largest online retailer of trophies, medals and awards, is looking for an experienced Stock & Operations Manager to join its busy, continually growing business in Tamworth.

As an experienced Stock & Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include: Planning, organising, and controlling daily inbound deliveries from multiple suppliers Keeping track of quality, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiencies Working with, and assisting when necessary, the Order Processing Manager Stock purchasing, replenishment and trend predictions. Analysis and creation of management reports on stock movement. Accurately placing purchase orders based on sales data and stock movement, whilst allowing for seasonal forecast demands Confidently and pro-actively communicating with the Marketing team on slow moving products to maximise warehouse space, revenue and profit. Engaging and motivating your team, while monitoring and maximising warehouse efficiencies. Providing regular feedback on the efficiency of our processes, identifying development areas, implementing action plans for improvement and working closely with website developers and the directors. Preparation and analysis of monthly reporting management statistics as required, keeping a paperless, data driven mindset. Ensuring stock accuracy - conducting regular and ad-hoc stock audits, as required. Ensuring all discrepancies are checked and reported and any stock or invoice discrepancies are investigated. Liaising with suppliers on quality or price discrepancies. Taking responsibility for supplier returns and working with the Accounts team to avoid delays with credits or refunds due Confidently negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with delivery companies. Conducting H&S checks, Fire Marshal duties, Risk and COSHH Assessments (if required). Review Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work and ensure staff training is kept up to date. Skills and experience required: Able to demonstrate a track record (minimum 3 years) in stock management, while being team focused with excellent people management skills. Previous involvement in operations management with a strong understanding of what the role of an Operations Manager entails. Experience in receiving and unloading overseas container deliveries. Experience of driving a forklift - a valid forklift licence/certificate is essential. Must have a passionate interest for continual learning, while accepting and offering 360 feedback, with a professional approach to handling accountability well. Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills, with accurate attention to detail being paramount. Someone who can set, maintain and improve standards, while collaborating with colleagues and senior management. Effective time-management and organisational skills to co-ordinate tasks and plan to meet deadlines and business objectives. Be highly engaged and driven, taking a keen interest in the products. Experience implementing and improving stock control processes and procedures, showing creative problem-solving abilities. Strong knowledge of warehouse floor plans - efficient layouts and importance of racking inspections. Ability to focus on continuous development, implementing and coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems. Ability to concentrate and maintain accurate attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and work calmly under pressure. Identify and manage general maintenance requirements throughout the building and grounds. Ensure health and safety requirements are met in accordance with required standards and adhered to. Carry out risk assessments, fire drills and H&S staff training (new, and existing where required). Must be a proficient user of Office 365 including Word, Outlook, Power BI and confident user of Excel (including PivotTables and VLookup functions). 5 GCSEs required including English & Maths at grades A*-C (4-9) or equivalent.
