As Aurizon Bulk continues to thrive in 2024, we are seeking to fill multiple positions in our Port Services Team based in Gladstone. We welcome applications from candidates who are willing to learn new skills and achieve competencies of nationally recognised qualifications.
Working hours including up to 12 hour night and day shifts on both week days and weekends around variable shipping schedules.
About the role:
Facilitating the loading and discharge of cargo, non-containerised cargo, and bulk products.
Operating machinery such as mobile harbour cranes, forklifts, front end loaders and reach stackers.
Conducting shipboard and wharf duties, ship loading, lashing, and unlashing, and other general duties.
Load and unload containerised freight from trucks and/or rail line.
Basic administrative duties including tally clerking.
Ensuring adherence to loading/unloading schedules.
Effective communication. This is not an exhaustive list of position responsibilities.
Yard duties when required
About you:
Mandatory
Strong commitment to safety
Ability to obtain Maritime Safety Identification Card (MSIC)
Previous Forklift experience and Forklift ticket
C Class driver's licence (unrestricted or provisional)
+18 years of age
Sound verbal and written skills
Preferred
Stevedore knowledge and experience
Reachstacker ticket
Loader ticket
Open crane ticket
