ABOUT THE POSITION
The position is for a class teacher for our younger (4 – 5 year old) children in our Early Childhood (Peach Blossom) setting.
This program is the forerunner to our full-time Kindy class and offers a gradual and gentle transition into school life.
Peach Blossom children attend the school part-time three days per week.

Peach Blossom is the foundational year of our school curriculum and grounded in Steiner Education principles, particularly the understanding of child development where the young child is engrossed in learning through imitation.
Our Peach Blossom environment supports this by ensuring that our teachers and assistants are worthy of imitation.

The class teacher's primary responsibility is to deliver an early years Steiner program outlined by the school.
In doing this, the class teacher is expected to join and work in cooperation with fellow teachers, the College of Teachers, and the school's policies and procedures.
The teacher aims to be a figure of moral authority based on commitment, care for the children, and a willingness to develop a close professional relationship with their peers.
