How you'll make a difference Come and join us in one of Victoria's most popular regional locations. We are looking for someone to lead our dedicated and growing Statutory Planning Team – delivering sound decisions, providing excellent customer service and continually striving to make improvements to our systems and processes. If you are a statutory planning leader we want to hear from you.
Drawing on your professional experience and excellent communication skills, you will work with stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes through the planning approvals process and ensure that the requirements of the Alpine Planning Scheme, the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and other related legislation are met for all planning matters.

As an industry professional, you will have a good working knowledge of the applicable legislation and planning framework and your leadership skills will ensure the Statutory Planning Team is delivering at a consistently high standard.
You will have A tertiary qualification in town planning or similar discipline with relevant experienceRelevant experience in local government as a town planner and coordinator/team leaderA theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to interpret planning legislation and practices including associated legislationThe ability to provide specialist advice to your team, other staff, Council, and external stakeholdersAbility to drive strategic decision-making to improve business systems and processesBelief that excellent customer service delivers better outcomes for our communityApply now Permanent full-time position, based in Bright is preferred but for the right candidate hybrid work arrangements may be negotiatedSalary Band 8 classification from $112,773 - $126,751 + superannuationMonthly Rostered Day OffPeople of all genders, abilities, ages, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to applyContact Rebecca Mouy, Manager Regulatory Services on (03) 57 550 555.Please Note: Recruitment activities, including interviews and application assessments, will be paused from 20 December 2024 to 5 January 2025 due to office closure.
