Fixed term to August 2025 (Parental leave), Full-time position Band 6 from $ $82,922.84 to $89,577.28 per annum (exclusive of superannuation) An exciting opportunity for a Statutory Compliance professional to contribute to a dynamic and fun City of Ballarat

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Governance Officer, this position leads the response to internal and external statutory requests, including privacy, Freedom of Information (FOI), complaints management and responses to regulatory bodies.
Working in a dynamic high volume environment with a collaborative and fun team as we ensure City of Ballarat meets its statutory obligations.

About You
We are looking for an organised, investigative and curious individual with experience in the statutory environment of local government, such as FOI and privacy.
You are well-known for your ability to investigate, analyse, and critically assess information, which enables you to provide reasoned advice and recommendations to stakeholders.
Your strength in communication and collaboration enables you to build strong relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
You are comfortable managing competing priorities with a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience
Degree or diploma course in statutory compliance/privacy/law or related field with relevant experience, preferably in the local government sector.
Alternatively, extensive experience in a related field would be favourable.
High quality organisation and communication skills are essential.
Knowledge of relevant acts, legislation and processes to ensure statutory compliance obligations are met.
