Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) is an Australian mining and exploration company with a highly strategic landholding, and two operating mines in New South Wales (NSW). Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant.

The Role
This role would suit a Senior Electrical Engineer with Underground Mining experience who has the drive and desire to progress to a Statutory Electrical Engineer, mentoring and support on offer to ensure you succeed in your role. We're inviting you to join our proactive maintenance services team at the Peak Mine, just 8 km south of Cobar township.
As a dedicated Statutory Electrical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in steering our electrical projects, blending strategic foresight with practical engineering prowess in mine infrastructure. Your focus will be on High Voltage systems (80%) and the refinement of Instrumentation (20%) and Control Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review the standards and procedures for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant.
Establish if there have been any improvements in the safety circuits and controls and ensuring that all electrical systems are well-guarded for protection and reliability.
Champion workplace safety by proactively identifying hazards, driving safety improvements, and fulfilling all reporting requirements.
Manage the health and safety of all electrical personnel, ensuring the integrity of site electrical infrastructure and project work.
Ensure statutory compliance with Mines regulations and Australian Standards.
Conduct meticulous inspections of installations and operations to guarantee compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Utilize engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform sophisticated engineering tasks.
Deliver projects within budget while optimizing plant/equipment availability.
Streamline the maintenance process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Expertly manage infrastructure installations and upgrades, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality results.
Collaborate with the manufacturing department in product development and testing, bringing innovative solutions to life.
Uphold the highest standards of quality assurance for ongoing projects.

About You
Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
Certificate of competence - Electrical engineer manager (other than underground coal mines).
Current registration on the National Engineering Register or the ability to obtain NSW statutory regulation qualifications and experience desirable.
Previous experience and knowledge of underground mining High Voltage systems and operations.
A sound understanding of NSW WHS and Mines regulations.
Expertise in heavy industry and processing plants.
You have a background in Electrical Engineering, particularly within heavy industry and processing plants, ideally in a mining environment. You're a values-driven and results-oriented professional, with strong interpersonal, organizational, and influencing abilities. An active team member and leader, you foster an open communication style, share information generously, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
