Our team is recruiting a number of roles, suiting individuals with a strong understanding of the domestic and global cancer research and implementation ecosystem, particularly in the prevention, screening, and early detection domains of various cancers.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Conduct data analysis and prepare preliminary reports, including data cleaning and handling, modelling, and reporting.
Lead the management of research data coordination and prepare initial statistical analyses and insights for inclusion in preliminary reports.
Manage appropriate databases to manipulate and analyse study data, developing and implementing statistical analysis plans.
Review and summarise academic literature supporting the research work.
Liaise with the research team regarding study progress and communicate updates to the Chief Investigator.
Prepare material for submission to ethics committees, ensuring all regulatory guidelines are met.
Contribute to the methodological aspects of study design and assist with statistical analysis plans.
Contribute to quality assurance and SOP development in biostatistics.
Support funding applications and perform sample size power calculations as needed.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely implementation of statistical analysis related to research studies.
Undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities relevant to the research activities.
About you Tertiary qualifications in Biostatistics or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
Experience working with large and complex data sets, ideally related to health sector and cancer screening.
Experienced in leading analyses and creating detailed statistical reports.
Familiarity with data privacy requirements and managing appropriate governance of sensitive health data.
Demonstrated ability to manage workload and deliver agreed outputs within timelines.
Experience utilising analytics platforms and developing actionable recommendations.
Experience analysing and providing insights on complex quantitative and qualitative data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
