Our Rescue & Fire Fighting (RFF) services currently extend from stations in WA, SA, VIC, NSW, and QLD.
Due to the evolving nature of this contract, we are currently employing a Station Officer for our Fire and Rescue operations located at HMAS Cerberus.
The successful Station Officer will respond to incidents as required and perform duties as directed by the Regional Manager.
The position we are seeking will be placed permanently on the following rostered shift pattern: 42 hour week worked in consecutive shifts over an 8 week cycle of:2 Day shifts from 0800 hours to 1800 hours2 Night shifts from 1800 hours to 0800 hoursTo be considered for this role it is mandatory you have the following minimum Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of 60 months as a paid firefighter within the fire and rescue industryCompleted all required Public Safety units (including site specific units) up to and including the position of Station Officer in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.PUA20613 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)PUA30613 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operation)Hold PUA40313 Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision).Hold Certificate IVTAEVentia require specific units from within the Certificate levels which includes: Driver's Licence (Minimum of MR)HLTAID003 Provide First AidHLTAID006 Provide Advanced First AidHLTAID007 Provide Advanced ResuscitationOther special conditions: A proven track record for performance and professionalism within the fire industryEligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret).
