Hockey Tasmania seeks applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of State Teams & Events Coordinator. The position is full-time and based in the Hobart office.
Principle Duties:
Coordinate and book all state team logistics including flights, accommodation and vehicle hire requirements for all teams (approx. 18).
Prepare travel confirmations for each state team
Develop and maintain budgets for each state team
Coordinate issuing of deposit and final invoices to all athletes
Coordinate turf bookings, training schedules state-wide for all state teams.
Coordinate trials for all state teams, including mid-week training sessions in all regions (where required).
Coordinate player nominations online
Coordinate EOI for team officials
Assist the STC (State Teams Committee) with the selection and ongoing management of state team officials.
Coordinate selectors for each trial.
Ensure selectors are provided with the appropriate briefing and paperwork prior to and at trials.
Promote HT state teams, athletes' information and results via all media platforms.
Where required attend state team trainings to assist with the provision of equipment and liaise with team officials, player, parents, etc.
Coordinate the ordering and distribution of team uniforms
Provide team officials with appropriate equipment, along with ordering of new equipment, including maintaining medical kits.
Coordinate logistics for Hockey One teams (elite teams), including assisting with budget, coordination and booking of all travel requirements for home and away matches, including flights athletes living interstate.
Assist with coordination of Pro League or Hockey One matches when in Hobart.
Attend all Member Association conference calls with Hockey Australia and other States regarding the roll-out of league requirements for Pro League (International matches) and Hockey One (Australian League).
Coordinate volunteers for these events, i.e. video and coding, ball persons, mascots, general volunteers, flag bears and photographers.
Other duties requested by the CEO.
