Your Impact: Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager and based remotely, you will coach, lead, and mentor the Territory Managers and Merchandisers in the field sales team to drive performance and set the team up for success.
Leading from the front, you will be responsible for your own designated territory to ensure you stay in touch with the day-to-day retail environments as well as setting an exemplary benchmark to the team about what great looks like.
As a solution-focused individual with a continuous improvement mindset, you will also leverage data to make decisions with efficiency and confidence.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
Deliver on growth objectives and KPIs and seek opportunities to achieve targets.Collate market intel and report back to the business.Network and work collaboratively with other stakeholders within the field sales team, support office and broader business.Work periodically with team members out in the field and provide tangible feedback.Proactively set performance objectives and carry out performance reviews.Engage and promote our products and expand and enhance distribution and shelf facings.Create networks and build relationships with key stakeholders.Routinely visit and cold call corporate/independent supermarkets/grocers in the assigned territory.Lead and drive WHS safety initiatives with NFSM and WHS Champion Team.What you will bring: Previous experience leading team members, successful Territory Management or Account Management, and consistently exceeding company objectives.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and professional presentation.Demonstrated FMCG experience is highly desirable.The ability to lead internally with an empathetic and sympathetic approach.Ability to interpret sales data, trends and navigate action items which may be state related.Ability to monitor and manage performance and engage in difficult and courageous conversations when necessary.Be results driven, manage time effectively, and lead by example.IT proficiency including MS Office Teams, particularly Excel, and CRM.Ability to determine your own decision-making levels and resolve issues in a timely manner to the satisfactory outcome of all parties.Willingness to travel intrastate and interstate when required.What's in it for you: Gender neutral parental leave, offering 20 weeks at full pay with no minimum tenure requirement.Superannuation paid for the full duration of parental leave (paid and unpaid leave).Enhanced parental leave offerings (additional pay for birth of multiples, neo-natal paid leave, miscarriage leave).Grandparents Leave.Women's health leave and access to reproductive support services.Global wellbeing day – bonus day off each year.Families @ a2 – access to resources and experts to support all stages of family life.Reward & Recognition @ a2:
