AusTriathlon (AusTri) is a not-for-profit organisation and the official governing body for the sport of triathlon in Australia. AusTri is responsible for ensuring the success and sustainable future of triathlon and multisport, making the sport easier to access, more relevant and more rewarding for a diverse triathlon community. AusTri operates within a One-Management Model with agreements to manage the day-to-day operations of six of our State and Territory Triathlon Associations (STTA's) these states are; ACT, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC.

The State Services Manager - ACT's purpose is to ensure the efficient delivery and operations of triathlon and multisport in the ACT with a key focus on the growth of the sport at grassroots level.
This role, with the support of the broader AusTri team, is responsible for all administrative requirements related to the operations of triathlon and multisport within the ACT, which includes planning and delivery of a portfolio of events within Canberra. As such, weekend and out of business hours work will be a requirement for this role.
The role is on a permanent Full-Time Basis and based in Canberra.
Key Responsibilities Include: Work with Sport Services team to drive initiatives and operations across Programs, Membership, Clubs, and Coach Education to provide quality experiences to the ACT community. Plan and deliver local races/events as required. Work cross-functionally with AusTri business pillars. Work with the Pathway Manager and NSW Triathlon to ensure consistent delivery of pathway opportunities. Provide regular reporting and updates as required. Optimise relationships with ACT Race Directors and the ACT Government. Coordinate state operations in ACT. Management of State Budgets and Grant Acquittals. Ensure effective governance of the sport through the Triathlon ACT board in accordance with the Executive Officer duties in the Triathlon ACT Constitution. Specific measures of success will include (but are not limited to): Ensure the ongoing sustainability and delivery of key local races/events. Grow a sustained network of well-supported Clubs, Coaches and Race Directors investing and delivering positive triathlon and multisport experiences. Deliver State Awards and Recognition events. Assist with the coordination and delivery of participation programs and initiatives to the ACT community. Provide opportunities for ACT Pathway Athletes to develop their skills in triathlon and multisport. Coordinate Board Meetings and Board Reporting. Grow the workforce of volunteers and coaches in ACT to ensure ongoing investment and delivery of triathlon and multisport experiences. Engage State & Local Governments to provide continual investment in triathlon and multisport experiences in ACT.
