About the Role This position is based in QLD. The State Manager QLD will be responsible for leading and managing the QLD operations, focusing on business development, broker support, and relationship management.

You help others understand why something is important and worth doing. You tell stories about our products and services to help our mortgage brokers understand who we are, what we do and why we do it.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and expand the broker network in designated regions Identify new business opportunities and potential brokers to join the YBR Aggregation Platform and YBR Franchises Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics Maximise penetration of YBR RESI within designated regions Broker Support and Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing brokers, providing ongoing support and guidance to help them grow their businesses. Conduct regular training sessions, workshops and seminars to keep brokers informed about industry trends, product updates, and best practices. Act as the primary point of contact for brokers in designated regions addressing their queries and resolving any issues promptly. Leadership and Team Management Lead and manage a team of support staff, ensuring high levels of performance and professional development. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Market Analysis and Strategy Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on market conditions, broker performance and business development activities. Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to enhance brand visibility and attract new brokers. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations, company policies and ethical standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with broker activities and ethical business operations. Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field would be favourable. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mortgage or financial services industry, with a focus on broker aggregation, sales or business development. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. In-depth knowledge of the mortgage market and regulatory environment. Ability to travel within designated regions as required.
