The Opportunity: This role is responsible for playing a key role in the development and implementation of effective H&S management standards, practices, and reporting processes across VHBA's program of major health infrastructure projects. Working alongside project delivery teams, this role ensures H&S risks and opportunities are effectively managed and controlled. This senior H&S role leads strategic advice provision across incident investigations, root cause analysis, and emergency response management.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor, refine and implement best practice safety management, assurance and contractor management processes. Undertake regular safety monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with safety management systems, contractor agreements, relevant legislation, and business requirements. Proactively work with project delivery contractors in the development and implementation of contemporary contractor management and risk management initiatives. We are looking for: Demonstrated experience in developing contractual arrangements with project delivery contractors and monitoring compliance with contractual requirements. Recent experience working within high-risk construction delivering exceptional project safety outcomes. Experience in establishing and implementing leading practice safety management approaches and systems, leading to safety performance that exceeds baseline compliance.
