In Australia, The Body Shop is undergoing an exciting period of transformation.
Due to internal promotions, we are looking for a proactive, commercially driven Retail State Manager who will play a critical role in maximising the profitability of our stores across Victoria and Tasmania in line with the company business objectives through successfully implementing service strategies, operational excellence, and strong store management development.
The role reports into our newly promoted National Retail Sales Manager and is responsible for 24 stores across VIC/TAS (16 Direct reports - 14 Store Managers and 2 Cluster Managers who are responsible for 5 stores each).
Key Responsibilities: Achieve sales and KPIs in line with set targets. Develop and implement strategies that align to the business goals. Increase profitability by growing sales and managing costs effectively. Increase the commercial awareness and skill set at store level. Create a culture where store visual merchandising aligns with commercial objectives. Manage recruitment, induction and training requirements for all staff providing feedback, coaching, performance discussions and talent reviews as required. Focus on the DTC succession plan enabling a pathway to develop talent and career progression within their region. Foster a collaborative relationship with the National Sales Manager, DTC Operations Manager, DTC Learning and Experience Manager, Senior eCom and Digital Manager to align with business priorities, whilst communicating these to store teams. Utilize tools including the dashboard to implement stock processes that support accuracy at store level, thereby increasing profitability and sales opportunities. Champion a culture that demonstrates a genuine passion for and actively promotes TBS values. Working Relationships & Interfaces: With wider Retail team/peers to align, share best practice and foster their immediate joyful collective. By communicating event, offer and customer feedback to relevant departments to maintain a customer first approach. With their key AUS retail management/Trainers/ stakeholders to deliver on market OKR's. Able to build effective relationships with all departments including Stock, VM, CRM, leasing team, trade marketing to deliver projects and multi-departmental outcomes.
