In this pivotal role, you will champion the contributions of the resources sector across regional Western Australia, leading CME's Regional team to deliver impactful regional Policy and Advocacy initiatives.This is a unique opportunity to meaningfully shape the future of the resource sector in regional WA and collaborate with industry leaders, government, and local communities, creating shared value and advancing the sector's positive influence in regional WA.What will you be doing?Lead CME's regional strategy by setting priorities and developing action plans that position resources sector as a key contributor to host communities.Deliver targeted engagement and communication activities to promote the sector's value proposition and contribution across regional WA.Manage CME's Regional team, ensuring alignment with strategy and the effective delivery of advocacy, policy management, and regional programs and industry initiatives.Collaborate with CME's Policy and Advocacy Managers to identify and respond to regional policy issues that impact industry stakeholders.Advocate and represent member organisations at a regional level, organised through CME's Regional Councils to achieve strategic goals and priorities.Build and foster partnerships with regional stakeholders, including government, non-government organisations, and community representatives, focusing on shared priorities.With support from CME's Regional and Events teams, organise regional site visits for key stakeholders, such as government delegations and key interest groups, to showcase and enhance awareness of the resources sector's activities and contributions.Establish metrics to evaluate and communicate the industry's influence on regional WA.Work closely with CME's Communication and Campaigns team to generate engaging content to raise the profile and increase awareness of the sector's contribution to regional WA.Undertake regular travel across WA's regional communities, including overnight stays and significant regional driving.What are we looking for in you?A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, ideally in the resources sector or similar industries.A tertiary qualification in a related field.Proven leadership and managerial experience, including coaching and mentoring teams.Experience in policy and advocacy, with knowledge of state and federal government policy development processes.Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging government and community stakeholders.A track record of fostering strategic partnerships in regional settings.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Networking skills to elevate industry issues with key stakeholders.A valid WA driver's licence, and a willingness to travel extensively.Commitment to CME core values of Accountable, Engaged, Inclusive, Integrity, and Respect.About CMECME is the peak advocacy body for the resources sector in WA.
