About the roleAs State Manager - Major Projects, you will maximise the potential of Kennards Major Projects (KMP) in your region, create new opportunities, and achieve sustainable profit growth.
This role is pivotal in developing Project Managers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence, and delivering on our promise of exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities Promote a culture of safety first, ensuring compliance with safety systems and proactive risk management.Identify and drive growth opportunities, collaborate on business development strategies, and contribute to continual improvement.Mentor and develop Project Managers to align their performance with business strategies, ensuring high staff engagement and retention.Represent the Kennards Hire brand, resolving escalated customer issues and ensuring every customer becomes a raving fan.Meet or exceed safety, revenue, and profitability targets while optimizing asset utilisation across projects.Some travel is required.What We're Looking For Proven leadership experience at a senior level, with strong commercial and financial acumen.Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to coach and empower teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.Knowledge of safety and compliance standards, with a commitment to zero harm.Strong industry relationships and a deep understanding of state and regional markets within the tier 1 construction industry.Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.Join our teamYou can always tell someone who works at Kennards Hire.
