About the role As the Elders State Livestock Manager, you will develop and implement a strategic sales plan for Commercial, Stud Stock, and A+ segments across Victoria and the Riverina, aligned with our national livestock strategy.
You'll drive sales activities, maximize profitability, and engage your team to achieve ambitious targets.
Your insights will shape market opportunities and strengthen client relationships, making a significant impact in the livestock industry.

Responsibilities Develop and implement state and area-specific sales strategies to achieve targets.Build strong relationships with team members, promoting a culture of high performance.Maintain regular communication with livestock staff, offering support and guidance as needed.Maintain and build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including but not limited to key clients and meat processors/buyers.Identify business development and growth opportunities across the region, including further avenues to market.Lead and manage livestock training programs, ensuring continuous professional growth.Role model and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to Workplace Health and Safety regulations.Support key selling centres and staffing requirements.Assist in resolving any claims/disputes which may arise.Work closely with the State Management team, along with national and local leaders.About you Significant experience in livestock sales and proven success in achieving sales targets and a demonstrated understanding of the various markets across Victoria and the Riverina.Extensive background in managing, leading, and influencing sales teams coupled with strong client relationship management skills.Effective communication skills, along with an extensive understanding of different livestock market trends.Expert knowledge of livestock products and safe handling practices, with the ability to hold effective team meetings and facilitate knowledge sharing.Relevant qualifications, including Certificate IV in Front-line Management and Auctioneer license.Proficient in using technology and software for sales management and reporting.About Elders As a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for 185 years.
