About the Role
The Team Leader IT Vendor Management sits within Enterprise Technology and is responsible for leading and overseeing DTP's IT vendor management capability, in alignment with procurement and contract management policies and frameworks. The role will also oversee the performance of third-party service delivery partners and will facilitate DTP's commercial relationships with IT vendors while ensuring compliance and delivery of service outcomes. The role requires advance contract administration and vendor management capabilities to maximise the value of IT investments.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
Vendor Management: Effectively lead vendor management function for the delivery of IT contracts in accordance with DTP and Victorian Government Purchasing Board's (VGPB) procurement and contract management policies and frameworks. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with business managers and third-party service providers to achieve objectives through collaboration and deliver superior operational and commercial outcomes for IT contracts by holding vendors accountable. Strategic Advice: Provide highly influential advice to business customers and service providers on specialist areas of outsourced services including contract construct, service levels, contractual risks, service management, information security, and pricing. Continuous Improvement: Apply complex problem-solving skills to resolve issues across the contract management lifecycle where policy, guidelines and precedents do not always exist and implement improvements that will lead to improve business efficiency, contract performance and value. Compliance Reporting: Develop and maintain effective performance management and reporting mechanisms to ensure contracted services conform to specified requirements and that reporting addresses management and business needs. Value for Money: Negotiate with and influence service providers and internal and external stakeholders including government services groups and customers at multiple levels to improve value for money. Leadership: Provide effective leadership, people management and support to the direct reports and team members while ensuring staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required. Promote and support safe, inclusive, and flexible team operations. In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory:
Extensive experience in the oversight and management of complex commercial contracts. A strong understanding of the principles of contract management and assurance. Proficient user of the Microsoft suite of products. Desirable:
Tertiary qualification in law, business, IT, economics, contract management or similar. An understanding of the public transport environment would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of IT industry and products and services available for medium to large organisations. What we offer
