The Manager, Planning and Partnerships leads OBRM's Planning and Partnership Unit to deliver the government's flagship Safer Together program, enabling Victoria's bushfire management sector to work together effectively and invest in shared priorities. The position also leads the team to design and continuously improve sector-wide bushfire management planning arrangements in close partnership with sector partners, ensuring appropriate sector planning frameworks, governance and assurance processes are in place to enable the sector to effectively translate government policy and strategic directions into a collective program of on-ground delivery.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications: Tertiary qualification(s) in science, law, economics, public policy, natural resource or environmental management, business management or similar is desirable. Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high priority projects or programs in a complex operating environment is essential. Demonstrated knowledge or experience with contemporary bushfire risk management, including bushfire management planning, is highly desirable. This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
