The Manager, Monitoring and Assurance leads OBRM's Monitoring and Assurance Unit to deliver high-quality and timely advice to government on sector-wide monitoring, evaluation, reporting and assurance to drive strengthened transparency, accountability and continuous improvement in how Victoria's bushfire sector manages bushfire risk. The position manages the team to implement OBRM's Assurance Framework and Victoria's Bushfire Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Framework to understand the effectiveness of bushfire risk management actions and drive continuous improvement. The position is also responsible for leading the development and public release of reporting products for a range of audiences to enhance transparency, understanding and accountability.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Tertiary qualification(s) in science, law, economics, public policy, natural resource or environmental management, business management or similar is desirable. Experience leading monitoring and/or assurance programs to drive continuous improvement and instil public confidence is essential. Demonstrated knowledge or experience with bushfire risk management, including planned burning, is highly desirable. This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
