Are you ready to take your forest management and fire prevention skills to the next level? Then join our elite team as a Forest and Fire Operations Officer – Technical Lead! We are seeking exceptional individuals to join our passionate Forest and Fire Operations Officer (FFOO) team. As a Forest and Fire Operations Officer – Technical Lead, you'll play a crucial role in managing work groups and overseeing operational tasks and fire prevention activities in Victoria's state forests, national parks, and protected public land.
Your expertise and coordination skills will ensure the ongoing effectiveness and output of our workcentres, driving us closer to our mission of environmental preservation and public safety. Be prepared for potential deployment across the state, where you may encounter challenging terrains whilst contributing to both emergency response and planned burning operations.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must hold a current manual Drivers Licence (conditions A, I & V not acceptable for employment). Demonstrated experience working in bushfire response or forest operations is desirable. Demonstrated experience and understanding in natural resource management, preferably with good knowledge of forest management and forest operations. This position is ongoing, available in the regional location of Orbost, Victoria. You'll have the chance to explore and protect stunning landscapes whilst earning a competitive salary ranging from $66,265 to $74,200 per annum, plus superannuation. Your salary will reflect your skills and experience, rewarding your commitment to our mission.

To be eligible for appointment to this role, applicants will possess corresponding work rights for the advertised employment period. Appointment to an ongoing position is only available to an Australian/New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.
