Co-ordinator Emergency Management and Business Continuity Job posted: 18/12/2024 Organisation: The Royal Children's Hospital Occupation: Emergency Management Reference: 12565 Work for Australia's leading Children's Hospital Challenging and rewarding work environment Friendly and supportive team environment About the Role This is a Permanent Full Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Emergency Management and Business Continuity Department.
You will be responsible for the delivery of emergency management and business continuity training, exercise scheduling including warden training, compliance, and providing support to the Emergency Management Manager for response activities.
Classification for this position will range from A051-A055 (base salary $92,856.40 to $102,653.20 per annum, plus superannuation).
What you'll achieve: Work with the Emergency Management team to develop, deliver and support the emergency management and business continuity functions.
Plan, schedule and conduct routine emergency management exercises on behalf of the Department.
Schedule, manage and administer the emergency management program including zone warden training, response exercises (drills) and the compliance database to ensure RCH staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to undertake the zone warden role.
Your skills and experience Certificate IV in Assessment and Training (TAE40116 or equivalent).
Relevant tertiary qualification in emergency management or business continuity.
Experience in emergency management and/or business continuity and in conducting training and education programs.
Advanced Microsoft 365 skills.
About the Department The RCH Emergency Management and Business Continuity department plays a key role in supporting teams across the hospital to develop and manage their Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), ensuring that our critical services continue during unforeseen disruptions.
In addition, we oversee the hospital's Emergency Management function including guiding preparedness, preparation, response, recovery (PPRR) and support any activation of the Hospital Incident Management Team (HIMT).
Our team also ensures that our RCH emergency procedures and plans are in place, RCH people are trained (e.g.
area warden) and supports the resource coordination in responding effectively to any incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors.
