Established in 2002, StandBy operates in every state and territory. The StandBy program is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the people and communities we support. About the opportunity The StandBy Coordinator is responsible for coordination of the StandBy Service across the ACT & Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network regions. This includes coordinating, overseeing, and delivering support for people bereaved or impacted by suicide. You will also manage community engagement, education, and training, as well as leading the StandBy team.
About you You will have a great understanding of the impact of suicide on individuals, groups, communities, and/or related disciplines such as trauma, grief, and loss with demonstrated evidence of sector engagement, community development and partnerships. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is desirable, however if you are the preferred applicant, you will be supported to obtain upon recruitment.
You will also need Tertiary qualifications and/or substantial equivalent experience in a relevant allied health or community services discipline including psychology, counselling, mental health, social work, or community development. Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check Right to Work within Australia Satisfactory National Police Records Check NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate About Us
