In this role, you'll: Your primary focus is to support the standard of performance of train drivers, guards and station staff and ensure that appropriate levels of competency are met across assurance activities.
You will ensure the competency framework for all NSWT safety critical roles ensuring an enhanced standard across both safety and operational performance.
You will operate as part of a team of standards officers, coordinating with them to ensure the smooth running of assessments that need to take place. 
For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description . About you You will be a qualified NSWT Regional driver, preferably with a certificate in training and assessing.
You possess a Rail Safety Worker Certificate of Competency indicating accreditation as a Train Driver (or above) for a minimum of 5 years continuous service.
You are adaptable, able to re-prioritise and efficiently plan your assessments whilst seamlessly interfacing with a large range of people within the business.
You are someone who is known to be diligent, analytical and has great attention to detail with expertise in records management.
You must be willing to commit to shift work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends, nights and public holidays, as well as being flexible to be on an on-call roster.
Extensive knowledge and experience of the network (especially the Regional network), NSW Trains services and operational areas would set you up for success in this role.
