About the Role: As a Standards and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of compliance standards, ensuring organisational adherence to NDIS regulatory requirements, training of standards related to the NDIS and privacy protocols. You will lead cross-functional projects and work closely with key stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of compliance across all areas of the organisation.
Your Key Responsibilities Include: Lead and coordinate cross-departmental projects to achieve external body accreditation, overseeing the full lifecycle of compliance standards from creation to implementation and ongoing monitoring.Develop, update, and maintain organisational policies on disability inclusion, safeguarding, restrictive practices, and other regulatory requirements.Design and deliver training programs on key compliance topics including restrictive practices, reportable incidents, shift notes, and general compliance awareness.Promote a culture of privacy compliance by delivering training, workshops, and resources on data protection and confidentiality.Lead the creation of tools and procedures in collaboration with the Operations and Client Experience teams.Conduct internal audits to monitor compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and other regulatory requirements.Review and update compliance frameworks to ensure alignment with industry best practices and evolving regulations.Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Experience in compliance management, policy development, and accreditation processes, preferably within the disability, health, or social welfare sectors.Proven ability to coordinate complex projects across various departments and stakeholders.Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and experience with NDIS compliance and auditing processes.Experience in developing and delivering training programs on compliance, privacy, and operational topics.An understanding of or willingness to learn privacy laws and experience managing privacy compliance and data breach responses.A clinical background is highly desirable, but not essential.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and accessible training materials and reports.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Why Forsight Australia: Based at our modern offices at Silverwater, we offer a professional and friendly team environment with competitive remuneration, PBI salary packaging (via AccessPay), onsite parking, easy access to public transport, flexible ways of working, and plenty of opportunities for ongoing learning and development.
