Stakeholder Governance Project Manager BackgroundAs part of the Government's health and excise reform initiatives for vaping, our client will be implementing the vaping products border regulation.
The team is also responsible for establishing appropriate governance mechanisms to support information sharing, referral processes, and collaborative operations with key stakeholders.
It is anticipated that Memorandums of Understanding will be established with stakeholders to facilitate a transparent, accountable, and collaborative approach to the delivery of vape enforcement outcomes.
Scope of WorkOur client is looking for an EL1 level experienced project/program manager to establish and negotiate agreements and design and embed referral processes to support vape enforcement and compliance.
Initially, the officer will be required to liaise with internal stakeholders to seek endorsement for MoU templates, establish and evolve information sharing, referral processes, and reporting capability to support delivery of vape enforcement and compliance.
As the governance and performance team is expanded, this role will build capability within the team and work towards transferring skills to ongoing APS employees.
The work will involve engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders through meetings, workshops, and/or other suitable formats to deliver the MoU, information sharing, referral processes, and collaborative operations governance against the Vaping NPP intent.
The purpose of this procurement is to engage a temporary EL1 equivalent contractor to build on the initial effort undertaken to scope the MoU requirements, referral processes, and build a cohesive governance process in a timely manner to deliver on this important commitment.
There are no reports to this role.
It is expected that the contractor is capable of working independently, with minimal supervision and direction required.
Activities Finalise the drafted Memorandum of Understanding and seek appropriate internal endorsement.Negotiate MoU agreement with key stakeholder agencies.Seek advice and propose the appropriate referral processes to support implementation of the multijurisdictional vape enforcement and compliance.Establish the Vape Information sharing, reporting, and referral process.Develop administrative artefacts to track requests reporting and referral processes.Requirements Experience in project management and senior stakeholder engagement.Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial.Strategic thinking and identification of opportunities, challenges, and risks as they relate to the work and its intended outcomes.Strong focus on achieving results and meeting project objectives within the specified timelines.
Able to work autonomously and proactively to drive the project forward and deliver the desired outcomes.Ability and willingness to develop individual and team capability.Commencement DateJanuary 2025
