Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator – Flood Warning Infrastructure Network

Details of the offer

Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator – Flood Warning Infrastructure NetworkThe Flood Warning Infrastructure Network Program (FWIN) is a $236 million budget measure, under which the Bureau is funded to acquire and maintain high-priority flood warning observation assets (rain and river height gauges, and telemetry) in high priority catchments. This investment will enable the Bureau to simplify ownership and maintenance of high-priority flood warning assets through the acquisition, upgrade and integration of key local government-owned, and some state government-owned rain and river level gauges into its existing flood warning network across Australia.
The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking a capable Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator to support the development and delivery of FWIN. The role will complement a nationally dispersed team by collaborating to uplift the engagement capabilities, tools and systems across Australia's flood warning network.
The successful candidate will assist teammates to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders throughout the flood value chain, supporting them to utilise processes and tools to clearly document engagements, capture feedback, and respond to enquiries. The role will take the lead in identifying trends in these records, and collaborate widely to develop new ways to engage with stakeholders through Customer Leads.
The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator will also take responsibility for coordinating and, in some instances leading, stakeholder engagement activities as required. They will maintain oversight of all such engagements across the FWIN Program and broader Bureau flood portfolio, generating regular automated reports for distribution internally and externally.
The position will suit a process-oriented mind, with strong attention to detail and achieving outcomes. They should be adaptable and prepared to work in an environment where program and project methodology is developing, seeking to be a participant and leader in shaping processes and templates. They should have strong relationship management skills and understand how to tailor processes to achieve the FWIN Program's objectives. An ability to develop agreements and arrangements between agencies, conduct business analytics, and understand a quality management process is desirable.
The FWIN Team is spread across Australia and aims to connect in person regularly. As such, interstate travel will be required to engage with our colleagues, partners, and customers.
