As announced as part of the October 2022 Budget, the Department of Finance is leading the development of a National Security Office Precinct (the Precinct) at York Park in Barton, ACT. The Precinct will provide a permanent solution to the critical accommodation and capability requirements of several national security and other Commonwealth agencies including the Office of National Intelligence and parts of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
As an enabling project to the Precinct's development, a multi-level car park is being constructed adjacent to the John Gorton Building in Parkes, ACT (referred to as the John Gorton Campus Car Park).
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
There is currently an exciting opportunity for a Stakeholder Engagement and Secretariat Officer to work within an energetic, high pace team responsible for delivering this nationally significant project.
Key responsibilities include: Manage project communications artefacts, stakeholder management plans, media enquiries and monitoring, coordinate monthly newsletter and website updates. Manage the Secretariat function for project governance arrangements, facilitating and coordinating of a number of governance bodies and reporting. Development of key government processes including Senate Estimates, Question Time, presentations, executive/ministerial briefings and coordination of the Gateway Review Process. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and stakeholder issues. Manage the delivery of projects activities by working collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality outcomes are in line with approved project plans. Working collaboratively within the project team and engaging with other Commonwealth agencies and external stakeholders including consultants and contractors. This role will offer the opportunity to work closely with a range of national security and other Commonwealth agencies as well as senior technical and commercial advisors and specialists.
