Stage Manager

Wanted Stage manager for 13 days during Edinburgh Fringe Festival July 30 -August 11. Need a stage manager familiar workings at Summerhall with the Fringe for the period 7/30-8/11, 4 pm daily for my production, Illuminate the Darkness, Women of Color. Must live in the area or able to have accommodations in the area in order to work. 1-hour mixed media, including storytelling, videos, and audience participation. 1. Stage manager schedule and run rehearsals. 2. Record the director's decisions about blocking and notes for the actor. 3. Convey the director's wishes to tech manager. 4. Along with the playwright, create the prompt book (a.k.a. "the bible")—a thick binder containing the production's sound, lighting, and set cues, as well as other vital information. 5. Supervising preshow activities such as technical and prop set up (which is limited). 6. Ensuring that everyone is ready for curtain and in the wings in time for the performances. 7. Calling technical cues to the crew over a wireless headset (if available). This is a freelance position for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Contract for 13 days of the project and will be based on 1 1/2 hour service per day. Includes weekends as the project performance will be open on Saturdays and Sundays of the 13th days.
