About the Role:
Our esteemed client is pursuing a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the critical position of Civil Designer. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a good understanding of Australian Standards and Austroads guidelines, and expertise in using Civil 3D, 12D, and AutoCAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical design and documentation utilising 12D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, and BIM modellers. Provide accurate and efficient design/drafting services for various sized projects. Recognise and resolve potential design conflicts and difficulties identified during design. Ensure overall consistency, quality, technical accuracy, and design on projects. Provide technical input as per the scope of work to undertake designs in accordance with current technical standards, DA conditions, Council, and local authority requirements. Provide technical support and respond to RFIs during construction. Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants. Adhere to professional standards, ethics, and quality procedures. Key Requirements:
An Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering, Bachelors or equivalent. Ideally, have a good technical design background in aspects of buildings and civil design including commercial, defence, industrial, educational, and healthcare sectors. Demonstrated civil design/drafting experience within a consulting environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Efficient time management and organisation skills. Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and legislation applicable to the region of operation. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
