The Medical Imaging Department at CHS operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing a wide range of diagnostic imaging services.
The service provides state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine services to patients in Canberra and the Southeast Region of NSW.
The service is committed to providing contemporary diagnostic and interventional radiology, as well as molecular imaging services, with a strong commitment to research and training in advancing the use of imaging for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
The Radiologist position is a specialist position responsible for the provision of clinical services and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Medical Imaging Department.
A commitment to teaching, research, clinical review, and quality assurance is required.
This position supports the Medical Imaging Department in providing a 24-hour, seven days a week service and includes on-call / after-hours roster duties.
Full-time appointment is preferred; however, fractional appointments may be considered.
Minimum Requirements: Hold Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.Meet credentialing requirements and receive an Endorsed scope of clinical practice from the Medical Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination policy.Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focused on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care.
