About your opportunity: Permanent part-time, 40 hours per fortnight The role of the Staff Specialist is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients / clients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.
Lead and manage the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the speciality, the ethics of the profession and in accordance with the THHS and Queensland Health (QH) policies, in a hospital, community and outreach setting.
What the Townsville Hospital and Health Service has to offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $282,587 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $100.78 to $127.77 p.h. (L18-L27)4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary) Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a. Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme: Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply) . ( ) Role Requirements: Possession of a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) qualifications or equivalent. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Respiratory and Sleep Studies) or equivalent. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties. Skills in interventional bronchoscopy such as EBUS would be highly desirable. Possession of class C drivers' licence. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. The incumbent may be required to work at other facilities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Probation period may apply. Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
