The Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of Radiology is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Staff Specialist – Radiology vacancy.

Competitive Salary and Allowances A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $216,300 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $296,640 with further salary increments available.
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $300,216 - $310,389 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.Additional Allowances under the Medical Practitioners Award A market allowance from $54,000 to $95,000 pro rata per annum, depending on level of experience.Allowance in lieu of motor vehicle currently set at $28,389 pro rata per annum, paid fortnightly (with CPI indexation on 1 July each year).Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,480 pro rata per annum.On call allowance 1:10, % of Base Salary.All other allowances as per current Award.And subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of Base salary plus on-call, pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS).

Provide Specialist in-patient and out-patient care to patients of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).Be involved with undergraduate teaching and post graduate teaching.Undertake research and quality improvement activities.Conduct radiological examinations and report findings.Provide advice on radiological findings and investigations required to other consultants and medical staff.Details of Appointment Permanent, part-time day work (with on-call), working 45.6 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.
