The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Staff Specialist – Psychiatrist vacancies for Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS), Adult Mental Health Services – South.

Provides comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric services in Tasmania. Acts as a consultant to mental health professionals and health service providers regarding the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders. Undertakes supervisory responsibilities with Registrars/Career Medical Officers, Resident Medical Officers, and other medical staff as required. Details of Appointment Permanent full time, day worker position (with on-call) working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Salary: $210,000 - $301,349 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty. *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
