This is a permanent position of FTE 1.0 based at Ipswich Hospital and the Ripley Sub-acute Facility. The purpose of this role is to provide Specialist Palliative Care services to patients requiring palliative care in the West Moreton Health Service District. The bulk of this role will be to provide a Palliative Care Consult service to Inpatients in the Ipswich Hospital as well as outpatient clinics.
Duties may rotate between Palliative Care SMOs, and there may be an opportunity to undertake other Specialist Palliative Care services, which include managing patients across inpatient, outpatient, and community Palliative Care services in West Moreton Health.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills which allow effective communication in a multi-disciplinary environment.Demonstrated knowledge of safety and quality assurance initiatives, as well as the ability to conduct audits and data analysis of key outcome measures.Experience in relevant areas of inpatient and outpatient care.A sound knowledge of contemporary Human Resource issues including time management, Workplace Health & Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-discrimination, and Code of Conduct.West Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south east corner, with community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
