Staff Specialist (Orthopaedic Surgeon) (600489)The Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking interest from suitably qualified and experienced applicants for a Staff Specialist – Orthopaedic Surgeon vacancy.
Who are we? Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital and major referral centre. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH collaborates with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.
The RHH Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers services in the major Orthopaedic sub-specialty areas (with the exception of spinal surgery). Depending upon the qualifications and interest of the incumbent, there may also be the opportunity to be involved with other teaching and research activities.
The Orthopaedic General and Trauma Surgery Fellow will be a member of Surgical Services, and the role will involve a mix of four key objectives:

Minimum Requirements: Holds specialist registration.Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway.Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an IMG with a recognised overseas specialist qualification and assessed as having sufficient experience in the specialty.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
