Staff Specialist - Older Adult Mental HealthMetro South Addiction and Mental Health Services are looking for a Staff Specialist to join their Older Adults Mental Health Team. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality psychiatric services to older consumers and demonstrate clinical leadership across the Older Adult Mental Health Service (OAMHS) and Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS). The position provides direct psychiatric clinical services to Older Adult patients of MSAMHS and will support the strategic direction and ongoing development of MSAMHS and contribute to the overall development and quality of services.

About the Role The position holder will provide telehealth to the Southwest Older Adult Community Team, based in Roma and visit this location monthly where they will be expected to stay overnight travelling between Roma and Charleville during the visit.The position holder will support the specialist inpatient (Grevillea Place) and PAH community team as required and will take a turn on the Grevillea Inpatient Roster.The position holder will be based at the Metro South Community building (Level 2, 228 Logan Road, Woolloongabba, QLD 4102).Provides specialist community-based mental health services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service.Provides inpatient care as required, including participating in the on-call roster.Provides inpatient consultations as requested.Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings.Supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors, and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team.Participation and/or leadership of research and quality improvement activities.Find out about the role in more detail and how to apply in the attached Role Description.
