The post holder will work alongside the team leader and be supported by a MDT including an occupational therapist, social worker, psychologists, clinical nurses, CNC, dietician, exercise physiologist and advanced peer worker. The team also has 1 registrar which the position holder will share with another part-time (0.6 FTE) senior medical officer.Provides specialist community-based mental health services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service.Provides inpatient care as required, including participating in the on-call roster.Provides inpatient consultations as requested.Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings.Supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team.Participation and/or leadership of research and quality improvement activities.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence shape our culture within Metro South Health.
