Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Neuropathology! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic specialty services in Neuropathology with a particular focus on muscle biopsy diagnostics, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Neuropathology Department and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as required. The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
An appropriately qualified appointee to this position with Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Anatomical Pathology may also be granted scope of clinical practice by NSW Health Pathology.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Pathologists (FRCPA) with recognised qualifications in Anatomical Pathology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
