Apply via eCredential – REQ470368 Staff Specialist in Older Person's Psychiatry (Permanent Part Time 0.6FTE role) Older People's Mental Health Service (OPMHS) Hunter New England Mental Health Service You will work primarily in the Greater Newcastle area with a well-established team that provides comprehensive assessments, treatment and advice for older people. This role provides clinical management and treatment within a biophysical framework to patients who have mental, behavioural and emotional disorders including dementia. You will also have the opportunity to support other parts of the service along with other Staff Specialists within the OPMHS.
The OPMHS includes Mental Health Unit for Older People (acute inpatient), Specialist dementia care unit, Pathways to Community Living (including Mental Health Aged Care Partnership Initiative), and other local Older People's Mental Health Community teams.
Applicants must have:
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and Specialist Registration with AHPRA. Candidates within 6 months of achieving Fellowship are welcome to apply.
Advanced Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry is preferable or appropriate experience in the field is required.
