Applicants must hold a medical degree registrable with AHPRA and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent.
Applicants expecting to be elected to Fellowship in the coming months may be considered.
Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is a level 4 Maternity service where the woman and her family remain at the centre of the care experience and are actively involved in all decisions about the pregnancy, birth and after the baby is born.
All decision-making is based on relationships of mutual respect and trust.
Armidale Hospital has 3 birthing suites operating 24 hours, seven days per week.
Maternity and Newborn Services are delivered by an experienced team of Midwives, General Practice Obstetricians and Specialist Obstetricians.

Armidale Hospital is a ninety-nine bed facility providing a comprehensive range of services including acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services.
A busy emergency department, a Level 3 Close Observation Unit, mental health unit and renal dialysis unit.
The referral community of the area is 55,200.
Adult Medical services include respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal and palliative care.
Surgical services include general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and ophthalmology.
The hospital is spacious, modern and well-equipped with the most recent development opening in 2019.
Tablelands Clinical School is part of the UON and UNE Joint Medical Program.
Medical students undertake clinical placements and attend teaching at the clinical school which is exceptionally well resourced with simulation laboratories and tutorial rooms.

A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
